Flux follows the popular Xion rotary and marks the first cordless tattoo machine from the guys behind FK Irons and DarkLab.

Powering the FK Irons Flux is a removable battery known as the PowerBolt, which allows artists to run their machine wirelessly without the need for cords or power supplies. Because it’s interchangeable, you can quickly and easily switch to an auxiliary battery (sold separately) when the charge runs out, so you can continue working without hassle.

The PowerBolt contains a lithium-ion battery with a USB-C connection and Dynamic Power-Path Management, which enables simultaneous battery charging and power delivery. It offers fast charging speeds of up to 1.5 Amps and up to 6 hours of run time, depending on the cartridge type and voltage used. In addition, PowerBolt’s higher energy density provides reliability and stability.

In addition to having an LED battery capacity and voltage indicator, the PowerBolt has three buttons: one to turn Flux on/off and two to adjust voltage quickly and easily. Press the up and down arrows to change the Flux voltage in increments of 0.5V or decreases from 5V to 12V, with the LED color corresponding to the voltage chart on the PowerBolt.

The PowerBolt also provides the ability to “unplug” the machine, which stops the Flux from accidentally turning on – useful for rotary travelers on the fly.

Flux is Bluetooth compatible, which means you can pair it with your power source and the DarkLab Hover app. You can use the DarkLab app to wirelessly update Flux with the latest firmware, making it future-ready.

The Flux FK Irons is a direct-drive tattoo machine that offers no sag and a 4mm stroke, meaning it excels at lining, shading, and color packing. It’s also very quiet when running and creates minimal vibration.
